Enjoy - hiking along the coastal trail GR34 – the spectacular oceanic landscape between Portsall and Argenton. Nature is preserved here and you will feel like travelled back in time…
In the middle of the region "Pays d'Iroise" and near the Coast of Legends, the "Pays des Abers", this charming breton fishing village of 5000 habitants is situated directly at the Atlantic Ocean. The harbour is very well sheltered and provides a safe place for motor- and sailboats as well as for a fleet of fishing boats. Scattered between inland and coast, megaliths give archaeological evidences of very old human activities. Standing stones (Menhirs) and megalithic chambered tombs (Dolmen), originated between the 5th and 11th millenium B.C. served as burial sites or ritual places. At low tide you can even walk to the isle of Carn to visit a grave-mound (Tumulus) from 3300 B.C. Beside that you can climb up to Guilliguy Dolmen and enjoy the awesome view over the cross and the small harbour.
